Sharing with your partner

One household for two, each with your own assistant, and notes for the decisions you make together.

If you share money with a partner, you can share one household in Zeno Household. You both see the same accounts, bills, Plan and forecast, and each of you talks to your own assistant. It doesn't have to be the same one: one of you can use Muse and the other Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini.

Invite your partner

In the app, open Settings, find Your partner, and enter their email. We email them a link, which works for 14 days. You can also copy the link and send it yourself. Who shares the household is decided in the app, never by an assistant.

Your partner signs in (or creates an account) with the address you invited and accepts. If they'd already started a household of their own, joining replaces it, and the app asks them to confirm first. A household is two people at most, and one subscription covers both of you.

Connect your own assistant

Once they've joined, your partner connects their own assistant the usual way (Connect your assistant). Under Settings, each of you sees only your own connections, and can revoke them.

Leaving each other notes

Some decisions belong to both of you. While you're talking one through with your assistant, ask it to pass something on:

Leave Sam a note: can we hold off on the couch until after the car insurance in November?

Your assistant reads back what it will leave before it does. A note can be a question, a topic to talk through, or an FYI. Next time your partner talks to their assistant, it mentions the note, helps them think it through with the real numbers, and sends back their answer in their words. When you've agreed, either of you can mark it settled, with the outcome in a sentence. If what you agreed changes the Plan, that's a separate step, made with your say-so.

Both of you can see every note, open and settled, on the Between you page in the app, and start one there too.

What stays private

Nothing passes between you unless you ask for it. What you tell your own assistant stays with you; it won't relay a confidence, a frustration, or a spending history as a complaint. A note is a question or a topic, never a verdict on the other person. If a note gets heated, your assistant will suggest talking it through together rather than carrying messages back and forth.

Stepping back

Either of you can leave the household from Settings, and the person who started it can remove the other. Whoever leaves has their assistants disconnected, and starts a fresh household of their own the next time they sign in. The household keeps its records, including the notes, as part of its history.
